This is a table lamp from the Burgundia series by SØHOLM, a Danish company from the 1950s.
It features a hand-painted mid-century pattern on a black ceramic base.
The designer is believed to be Holm Sørensen and the painting is believed to be by Svend Aage Jensen.
*The shade is not original, but a vintage shade is used.
*The wiring has been replaced with new ones.

[SØHOLM]
A pottery workshop founded in 1835 on the small Danish island of Bornholm.
It is famous for having had many designers active there until it closed in 1996.
Even now, after the store has closed, the brand has many fans both in Japan and abroad.
[ Holm Sørensen
1913-2004. Danish lighting designer.
As an artistic blacksmith, he established his own unique style through brutalism, which was based on a keen understanding of the potential of materials, and he brought many original lighting fixtures to the world from the 1950s to the 1970s.
His style is not only influential in the Nordic market, but also in the international market.
[Svend Aage Jensen]
A ceramic designer who was employed at SØHOLM from 1964 to 1980.
He excelled in organic designs and created many simple pieces that could be loved for a long time.
Even today, his work remains popular among fans of Scandinavian goods around the world.
